Spanish Learning - 1

Hi Friends/ Hola Amigos,

I attended the Spanish language learning classes for 15 days recently. Here I want to share a few of Spanish words which we come across in our daily life (i.e. advertisements or movies) so that you can even feel that you know a few Spanish words.

CASA : House (we usually see this word on advertisement boards...like.. The casa furnishings )

ALTO: High (we see this word on one of Maruthi brand cars ALTO model. we can imagine that ALTO cars are HIGH value for low price.)

Asta la vista : See you until (I heard this first in one of Telugu movie called BILLA, second time in my spanish class. This word is used to say good bye)

Punto : Sharp (Fiat company released a car recently called PUNTO. So we can imagine that If we travel in PUNTO, you reach your destination on SHARP)

Fiesta: Party (Ford's new car FIESTA. If you use Fiesta car, you have PARTY always)

Vista: View (imagine from Windows VISTA)

Hola: Hi (We should pronounce this Hola as OLA.... always 'H' is silent in spanish language)

Bailar: Dance (we heard many times ENRIQUE IGLESIAS - Bailamos song. Bailamos means 'We dance')

Los Angels/ Las Vegas: Los / Las/el/la are articles in spanish language as a, an and the in English language. (el - article for masculine singular, Los - masculine plural, La - Feminine singular, Las - Feminine plural. Any word ends with 'A' is feminine gender and exceptional for very few words. Here Vega ends with 'a' and is plural So 'Las Vegas'. Angel : It does n't end with 'a' and its Masculine plural So 'Los Angels')

I guess now you know a few Spanish words and hope you enjoyed spanish learning.

Happy learning...Asta la vista !..... Have a great day. :)
